I find it distancing when I tell people that I'm Catholic and they say, "Wow, that sucks. I feel sorry for you." But in reality, there's nothing to feel sorry for. I love being Catholic. I wouldn't trade it for the world. And people automatically think that living a Catholic life is so hard and horrible when it's really not. Everyone always brings up the issue of Confession and how weird it must be to sit down and tell the priest everything you've done wrong. I don't find it hard at all. Confession is a beautiful grace of God that many Catholics don't take advantage of. A lot of non-Catholics find us weird. They always talk about how we do everything wrong and how we go to Confession and pray the Rosary and celebrate the Eucharist at every Mass, but I've never heard anyone in my church sit down and say, "Man, those Protestants are so stupid for not celebrating the Eucharist." or "Why should I be friends with so&so? They don't own a Rosary." I don't understand how people can prosecute us so freely without feeling bad about it. We all have the same Commandments and we all believe in the same God and Jesus Christ His Son, yet, some people don't even consider Catholics Christian! The Catholic church came long before the Protastant Reformation. The Protestant faith basically sprang off from Catholicism! I don't understand how people can be so hypocritcal in that they can talk about how we're so stupid yet go to church on Sunday and pretend that they are wonderful people of God. I'm not even saying that everyone who's not Catholic is a bad person. I have wonderful friends and most of them aren't Catholic. I'm just saying that I wish the world would stop being so hypocritcal, not only about religion, but about everything. How can someone confess that they love God and then go out and get high like it's nothing. I hate how some people are so ignorant.

The Lord has given us so many blessings, yet we throw them away like they're nothing. We care more about what other people think of us then what God thinks of us. The world is a scary place.
