What Does It All Mean. version 234782084.

I am listening to my dad give my youngest brother a lecture about how grades come before extracurricular activites which come before friends. He said that friendships don't matter if you don't get good grades.

Well, maybe that's okay for him.

But I've got my priorities in order, and they are definitely not in that order.

See what I have to live with?

I don't mean to bitch about my parents, they've provided for me and brought me up pretty good. But they're like most parents in the respect that they just don't get it. They have no idea what it's like to be 16 years old in 2005. My mom went to community college, my dad went to tech school. Not that those are bad things, I mean, they can support all 4 of us kids and we're not bad off at all, but they can't exactly sit around and lecture us about getting into a good school. Hypocritical. That is what I call that. Even if they do "just want the best for us," they should let us decide what is best for us once in a while, because at this rate, none of us are ever going to figure out who we are. Maybe we're not 4 over-achieving smart kids. Maybe we just want to have fun while we're here and not worry about stupid grades or getting into college.
